Great lifetime item. Saw Malcolm's (The Hidden Woodsmen) review and he was not wrong about Ben's Backwoods, and the Zebra pot. Fast shipping and quality stuff for the best prices. I'll be telling all my friends to go to Ben for whatever they need. Many thanks.

This is the 2nd 14cm pot I have owned;the first I gave to my backpacking buddy who wanted to replace his cookware set with a single universal pot and was impressed with the quality and durability of the zebra pot. The 14cm pot is an excellent single person pot with enough volume for two people. Excellent quality and durability and has been my only piece of cookware for my canoeing, backpacking, and general bushwhacking adventures.

It holds about 64 oz of water. Its light weight, and its very well made cant go wrong with a zebra.

The 14cm zebra billy is perfect for my kit it was easy to handle and move around a fire with either a stick or a leatherman, it was a good shape with good dimensions so it is very stable even when full to the brim with water. The first boil took twice as long as the second one did so I can attest to the benefits of blackening the pot right away (plus you look cooler). There was enough water from a full pot to make two four cups of tea, fill a nalgene for the morning and make a large package of red beans and rice. I bought this as basically a solution to any cooking I would need to do for me or my family and I feel I have made a good choice. Except for my gsi cup and spork all my cooking necessities like tea, oil, spices, tea cup, stove, (trangia) extra fuel, soap, bandannas, and lighter fit great it side of it. I would surely recommed this to a friend.

I came out from the UK and thought I could pick up one of these great Zebra pots/ billy cans here in the US, for a hiking/camping trip with my wife and good friends. I went to a very well known outdoor retailer and was surprised to find everything but this simple great working design.
I then found Ben's site and was relieved to find someone out here does this excellent zebra pot. One order and a quick phone call later and the pot was winging its way to me here in Seattle. It was well on time and we took it and used it.
It's a great simple pot, it's sturdy and does what it says it does. Being stanless steel it's easy to clean. A little more work if you use it on an open camp fire, or Fire Box Stove like I did, but I stand by what I say and can say it cleans up, or you can leave it for that rustic look. If your going fishing camping and want to cook on an open fire, then this is the pot for you. Don't even think of using titanium or aluminium, that's just my opinion, but this stainless steel old pal is the way to go. Thanks Ben, I can put it with my 12cm (4.72") zebra pot when I return home.

I received quick shipping of the pot. I am very pleasantly surprised at how sturdy this pot is made. This will last many, many years and far more durable than any other pot designed for camping & backpacking. It also comes with a small stainless tray than nests in the top. This make a small frying pan or eating bowl. Well worth the money and way under priced.

I've only taken this pot out to the bush a few times, but I have no doubts about this pot's ruggedness. I personally like the Mors bushpot a bit more due to small features like butterfly handles, pour spout, crooked tab on lid, etc.
However, I would say the Zebra is more refined overall. My favorite things is it doesn't have screws sticking through to the inside of the pot. So food and other materials don't get caught and build up.
Also, it comes very shiny and that hinders the pots ability to absorb heat as it reflects heat. No big deal though. After cooking with it two or three times over a fire, it darkened up and seemed to boil water faster.
The only reason I rate it a 4 and not 5 is, because I have and use the Mors/Four Dog bushpot and am spoiled by the little features that the Zebra doesn't have.

I received my 14 CM today. Upon fist inspection, the pot is well made and has a nice heft and polish. One of those things that just kinda speaks to you. Heavy enough for even heat transfer, not so that you won't take it due to weight. The polish reminded me of the finer marine SS fittings that show up upper echelon yachts. Looks easy to clean. Feels funny to be excided to try out a pot, but hey, if you are on this site, you probably know.

Lifetime quality plus handy inner bowl for steaming or use as a plate. There's nothing better than Zebra pots for cooking over or in a fire (Just remove the plastic tabs if pot has them). The 14 cm pot seems the choice for cooking for two people. I used and love the 16cm Zebra pot so much, I bought the whole set.
