First: I have this saw and it really cuts quickly. No question.
My problem and it is my problem, is that if on the return stroke, I press down at all the blade, being so thin, will catch, bend and thus bind. So far I've been able to bend it back straight.
I've decided that for me, this saw is just too fragile for woods use. I far and away prefer my Pole and Paddle buck saw, which cuts almost as well and is as tough as boiled owls.
Maybe the Silky will work for you fine, I hope so but just watch that return stroke. (Bensbackwoods comment) These are professional grade pruning saws that cut on the pull stroke. You loosen your grip on the push stroke to reset the blade in the cut. DO NOT force the forward stroke as the blade is not supported and can bind.
