  2. better than I expected 5 Star Review

I purchased my first mora knife from Ben's Backwoods a classic #1. I love the knife but the sheath while being totally functional lact some character for my taste. When I came across the JRE Bushcraft sheath I was skeptical at how well made a $29.98 sheath would really be but, when I received it, to my surprise the quality was exceptional the knife fit perfectly and with the well-thought-out design of the belt loop it rides perfectly flat on my chest making it ideal for neck Carry which is my preferred method and it would ride perfectly on a belt if I chose to do so. The fire steel Loop fits a 3/8 inch Light My Fire firesteel perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a Bushcraft style sheath.

  3. For the Mora Classic #1 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Mar 2016

The sheath arrived, and after careful inspection I could find no issues with it. I have numerous top quality knives and sheaths, Bark River, Custom made, Cold Steel Master Hunter CPM-3V. I appreciate that a good sheath complements the knife. It's my most important tool and I want to take care of it, and yes, display it.

I find myself using my Mora Classic frequently for bushcraft. The handle it ideal for using the knife from any grip. So I wanted to upgrade the sheath. I prefer leather to plastic/Secure-Ex/Kydex. It's a personal preference.

This sheath is very attractive. It fits tightly, a little less than half the handle fitting snugly in the sheath. With effort I can fit a bit more than half, but it's too difficult to comfortably draw. I'll probably spend a little time stretching it out to get the knife to fit as deeply as possible while remaining snug. The fire steel loop is perfect sized and fits a 3/8" x 4" fire steel with custom handle perfectly.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I also bought the sheath for a the companion, and it hold mine perfectly without any adjustment at all needed.

Now I just need to decide on the best dangler...

  5. Worth a Look 4 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jan 2015

I bought this sheath for a Mora 510. I went back and forth on the purchase... it's a good price for a nice sheath but it's a little counter-intuitive to spend "extra money" when one of the biggest selling points of the Mora is the inexpensive purchase price.

Bottom line: It's a much better sheath than the original and it's worth a look if you want to upgrade.

  8. i love this thing 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Apr 2013

there were some minor kinks in the threading but all in all it was what i was looking for, which was a leather sheath with a belt loop and a fire steel holder. the leather is nice but its going to need oil. i got this because i customized my mora classic 2 handle so that it would fit my hand and it wouldnt fit back into the original sheath. i would recommend this sheath to anyone looking for a mora sheath.

  9. Best Sheath For The Money 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Mar 2013

I've looked everywhere for a quality leather sheath with firesteel loop for mora knives for a while, and this is it.There are alot of good sheaths you can buy,but for the price, this one is great for my Mora Classic #2.The sheath knife opening is super tight around my knife handle and it is hard to get out,but I think that's because I'm using the Mora #2 and not the #1.The leather will give with time so it's not a problem,I would reccommend the JRE Bushcraft sheath from Bensbackwoods.com to anybody.
